Plenaris 200FS is a fungicide seed treatment product designed for early season protection in sunflowers. It contains the active ingredient oxathiapiprolin at a concentration of 18.7% by weight. This product is formulated as a flowable suspension and is specifically used to control Oomycete pathogens, most notably downy mildew caused by Plasmopara halstedii. It is intended for use by commercial seed treaters using standard, calibrated equipment such as hopper-boxes, planter-boxes, or slurry bars. The product works by inhibiting an oxysterol-binding protein (OSBP) modulator. When applying, ensure that an EPA-approved colorant is added to the seeds to provide a visual indicator of treatment. Users should be aware that this product is toxic to aquatic invertebrates and must not be applied directly to water or areas where surface water is present or imminent. For handling, technicians must wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, shoes, and socks. If pesticide gets inside clothing, it must be removed immediately and the clothing washed thoroughly. Always follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintaining application equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
