Durivo is a concentrated insecticide used for the control of key lepidopteran insects and listed sucking and chewing insect pests in vegetables. It contains two active ingredients: Thiamethoxam (17.5%) and Chlorantraniliprole (8.8%). The product is designed to be applied to the soil during planting or transplanting via methods such as in-furrow spray, transplant hole drench, or narrow surface band application above the seedling. It can also be applied after planting through drip chemigation or as a directed post-emergence application at the base of the plant for optimal root uptake. Because it is systemic, it is rapidly translocated throughout the plant. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (Category C), and shoes plus socks. Users must follow strict environmental precautions to avoid contact with water bodies, as the product is highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates, oysters, and shrimp. It should not be applied to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas. Resistance management is critical; users should rotate with different insecticide groups to maintain susceptibility.
