← Back to Actigard 50WG product overview
Actigard 50WG Plant Activator is a non-pesticidal systemic compound used to control several listed fungal, bacterial, and viral plant diseases. It functions as an inducer of host plant resistance by mimicking the natural systemic activated resistance (SAR) response found in most plant species. For best performance, it should be applied preventatively before disease is observed, with maximum protection typically achieved 4 days after application. The active ingredient is Acibenzolar-S-methyl at 50.0%. It is formulated as a water-dispersible granule. This product is used on various crops including Brassica, Citrus, Cucurbit, Leafy Vegetables, Low Growing Berries, Onion/Bulb, Pepper, Pome Fruit, Spinach, Tobacco, and Tomato. Application methods include ground and aerial applications, as well as chemigation through irrigation systems. Handling requires caution as it is harmful if absorbed through the skin and causes moderate eye irritation. It is also toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates; avoid application near water or intertidal areas.
