Broadloom Sedge Control is a postemergence herbicide designed for residential and small area use to control broadleaf weeds, annual sedges, and yellow nutsedge in established turfgrass and ornamentals. It is effective against a variety of targets including Poa annua, dandelion, clover, chickweed, plantain, and various sedges like yellow nutsedge and purple nutsedge. The product can be applied as a spray or via a sprayer attachment. When using oil concentrates, users must perform a compatibility jar test to ensure no adverse reactions occur. The herbicide is effective through contact, meaning it must hit the target plant to work. Note that it does not control grasses. Handling requires specific PPE, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, waterproof gloves, and protective eyewear. Users should avoid application during windy conditions to prevent drift and should not apply if temperatures are extreme or if the turf is under stress.
