Ornazin 3% EC is a botanical insecticide containing 3.0% azadirachtin. It is designed for use on various ornamental plants, including greenhouse plants, shrubs, trees, turf, and lawns. The product works by interfering with the metabolism of insects, affecting various life stages including larval, pupal, and nymphal stages. It is effective against a wide range of pests such as aphids, beetles, caterpillars, leafhoppers, mealybugs, scales, whiteflies, and various worms/borers. Ornazin can be applied via foliar spray for indoor/greenhouse plants or via soil drench and turf/ornamental tree injections for outdoor use. When using for foliar applications, it is recommended to use it as a repellent and can be combined with 0.5-1.0% non-phytotoxic oil to enhance efficacy. For soil drenches, it should be applied promptly after mixing. Note that the product can be used at up to twice the listed rate if the infestation is heavy or the plant canopy is dense, but must not exceed 22.5 oz per acre. Always follow Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements when applying.
