Akari 5SC is a miticide/insecticide used for controlling various mite and insect species on ornamental plants, greenhouse cucumbers, greenhouse tomatoes, and greenhouse peppers. The active ingredient is Fenpyroximate at a concentration of 5.0%. It is designed for use in greenhouses, nurseries, and on outdoor ornamentals, including trees, vines, shrubs, foliage, and flowering plants. This product is a suspension concentrate (5SC) that must be diluted with water before application. When handling, users must wear specific personal protective equipment, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, protective eyewear, chemical-resistant gloves (nitrile, neoprene, or barrier laminate), and shoes plus socks. It is highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates and should not be applied directly to water or areas with surface water present.
