QNAP 2 Copper Naphthenate RTU is a wood preservative designed to protect wood against decay, termites, wood-destroying beetles, and carpenter ants. It is suitable for use both above and below ground. The active ingredient is Copper Naphthenate (17%), which is equivalent to 2% metallic copper. This product is specifically formulated to meet AWPA Standard M4 for end cut treatments, making it ideal for protecting the end cuts of pressure-treated wood, as well as prolonging the life of non-pressure treated wood. It can be used for exterior wood applications, including ground contact and end cut treatments. When applying to non-pressure treated wood, use a brush or roller. For ground contact, it should be applied at a retention of 0.04 to 0.05 lbs copper metal/ft². Users should be aware that this product contains petroleum distillates and can cause skin and eye irritation. It is toxic to aquatic life and should not be applied directly to water or areas where surface water is present or intended to be below the high water mark. Always follow PPE requirements, including chemical-resistant gloves, eye protection, and long-sleeved clothing, especially when handling or applying the product.
