Safe-Guard Cattle and Swine Dewormer is a medicated product used for the removal of various internal parasites in swine and cattle. The active ingredient is fenbendazole at a concentration of 0.05%. For swine, it controls lungworms (Metastrongylus spp. and Metastrongylusと比較), gastrointestinal worms (including Ascaris suis, Trichuris suis, and others), kidney worms, and stomach worms. For cattle, it is used to control lungworms (Dictyocaulus viviparus), stomach worms (Ostertagia ostertagi), intestinal worms (Cooperia punctata & C. opsonoplia), and bankrupt worms. The product is formulated as a feed additive. For swine, it is applied at a rate of 1.8 lb of product per 100 lb of body weight over a 3-12 day period. For cattle, it is applied as a one-day therapeutic treatment at a rate of 1 lb of product per 100 lb of body weight. Important handling notes include a warning that cattle must not be slaughtered within 13 days following treatment. For dairy cattle, there is no milk withdrawal period, but a withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves; do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
