AquaBac® WDG 3000 is a biological insecticide containing Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (Bti) BMP 144 solids, spores, and insecticidal toxins. It is formulated as water-dispersible granules designed to control various species of mosquito larvae (Psychodidae and Chironomidae) in a variety of habitats. The product is used in both urban and rural areas, including standing water, shallow lakes, ponds, sewage lagoons, and trickling filter systems. Application methods include granular spreading or aerial application. When used in trickling filter systems, it is applied to the wastewater feeding into the filters. Users should note that the product is effective against larvae and may take up to two weeks for full control of certain species like Chironomus. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment, including waterproof clothing, gloves, and eye protection. It is important to avoid contact with skin and eyes, and if contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. The product should be stored in a cool, dry place between 59-86°F (15-30°C). Always follow specific dilution rates based on the volume of water used to ensure effective coverage and target pest control.
