LifeGard WG is a biological plant activator containing the active ingredient Bacillus mycoides isolate J (40.0%). It is designed to reduce the occurrence and severity of plant diseases caused by fungi, oomycetes, or bacteria in various crops grown outdoors or under cover in greenhouses, shadehouses, or other covers. Rather than acting as a direct pesticide, it works by triggering the plant's natural defense mechanisms against pathogens. It is most effective when used in combination or alternation with fungicides that have different modes of action. The product is a wettable granular (WG) formulation that must be mixed with water and applied as a foliar spray. Application should be preventative, ideally before disease is observed in the field. For many crops, applications can be repeated every 7 to 14 days. It can be applied via ground application equipment (such as sprayers) or through chemigation using sprinkler irrigation systems, though it should not be used with other irrigation types. Always ensure sufficient water volume is used to provide uniform coverage.

Worker safety

Re-entry interval (REI) 4
