Talaris 70 WSB is a fungicide containing 70% thiophanate-methyl. It is used to control various fungal diseases in a wide range of crops, including almonds, apples, apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches, pears, pecans, pistachios, strawberries, wheat, cucurbits, soybeans, sugar beets, peanuts, and beans. The product is applied via ground application or aerial application. For ground applications, use rates vary by crop and target pest, typically ranging from 1.0 to 2.0 lbs of product per acre. For aerial applications, use rates are generally lower, such as 1.0 lb of active ingredient per acre. The product is formulated as a water-soluble bag (WSB) designed for use in closed-loading systems to reduce exposure. When mixing, follow specific instructions for water-soluble bags to ensure proper dissolution. Users must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, and chemical-resistant footwear. Note that this product is a systemic fungicide and resistance management is critical; avoid excessive use and follow label instructions to prevent fungal resistance.
