Silencer is a restricted-use insecticide containing the active ingredient Lambda-cyhalothrin (12.7%). It is designed for professional pest control to manage various pests, including cutworms in agricultural settings. This product can be applied via ground applications (boom, airblast, or groundboom), aerial applications (ULV or non-ULV), and through sprinkler irrigation systems. When used for cutworm control in row crops, it is applied at a rate of 10 gallons of finished spray per acre. For orchard and vine crops, the rate is 50 gallons of finished spray per acre. Users must follow strict safety protocols, including wearing long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (barrier laminate or Viton), shoes plus socks, and protective eyewear. This product is highly toxic to fish and aquatic organisms; do not apply directly to water or areas where surface water is present. It is also highly toxic to bees; avoid application when bees are actively visiting the treated area. Always ensure proper buffer zones are maintained to prevent drift into aquatic habitats or non-target areas.
