Serpent 1EC is a Group 3 insecticide containing 13.1% lambda-cyhalothrin as the active ingredient. It is used for the control of various pests including armyworms, cutworms, corn earworms, various caterpillars, and various species of beetles and aphids across a wide range of crops such as alfalfa, canola, corn, cereals, cotton, cucurbits, and vegetables. It can be applied both outdoors via ground application, aerial application, or through irrigation systems. The product is highly toxic to fish and aquatic organisms; avoid application near water or where surface water is present. When handling, users must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (such as nitrile or neoprene), chemical-resistant footwear, protective eyewear, and a chemical-resistant headgear for overhead exposure. If applying via irrigation, ensure the system is designed to prevent contamination of public water systems.
