Force 6.5G is a granular insecticide containing 6.5% tefluthrin, a synthetic pyrethroid. It is designed for at-planting, soil-applied use to control soil insects, including corn rootworm, western corn rootworm, wireworm, corn cutworm, billbug, and chinch bug. It is specifically labeled for use in field corn, popcorn, seed corn, and sweet corn. The product works by providing activity against seed-, plant-, and root-feeding insects to protect corn root systems. Application methods include in-furrow, band, or T-band placement. When using the T-band method, granules should be incorporated into the top one inch of soil using various implements like wheels, chains, or other suitable equipment. Users must follow specific rotational crop restrictions, such as a 30-day delay for plant-back crops. Because this is a Restricted Use Pesticide, it can only be sold to and used by certified applicators or those under their direct supervision.
