Exilis 9.5 SC is a plant growth regulator containing 9.51% Benzyladenine. It is designed for use on apples, pears, pistachios, and non-bearing cherries to manage various growth stages including fruit thinning, fruit sizing, and promoting branching/feathering. It can be applied via conventional spray application machinery, backpack sprayers, or squirt bottles for specific notch applications. The product works by influencing tree structure and fruit development. Key handling notes include avoiding application through irrigation systems and ensuring proper pH levels (ideally 5-6.5) for optimal performance. Users must wear appropriate PPE, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and chemical-resistant gloves. It is critical to avoid application during extreme temperatures: do not apply if temperatures are below 40°F (4.4°C) or above 90°F (32°C) for orchard trees, and do not apply if temperatures are below 50°F (10°C) when using latex paint mixes.
