Ethos XB is a restricted-use insecticide/fungicide designed for mixing directly with liquid fertilizer to control soil-borne pests. It contains two active ingredients: Bifenthrin (15.67%) and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain D747 (5.00%). This product is used to target pests such as corn rootworm, armyworms, cutworms, and various fungal diseases like damping-off, pythium, and rhizoctonia. It is primarily applied to field crops including corn, grain sorghum, soybeans, rice, and various beans/peas. Because it is mixed with liquid fertilizer, it is applied via irrigation systems (such as center pivot, drip, or furrow) or through soil application. Handling requires specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (barrier laminate, nitrile, neoprene, or natural rubber), and protective eyewear. Users must be cautious of environmental hazards, as the product is toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates; avoid application near water bodies or during windy conditions to prevent drift. The re-entry interval (REI) is 12 hours.
