Ethephon 2SL is a plant growth regulator used to promote earlier ripening and maturation of various crops, including apples, berries, cantaloupes, cherries, grapes, peppers, pineapple, sugarcane, tobacco, tomatoes, and walnuts. It is also used for lodging reduction in wheat and barley. The active ingredient is Ethephon at 21.7% by weight. This product is for commercial or agricultural use only and is not for residential use. When applying, ensure thorough spray coverage of foliage and fruit. Users must be cautious of spray drift, especially during temperature inversions or high winds, as it can affect non-target crops or sensitive areas. This product is corrosive and can cause irreversible eye damage; always wear protective eyewear and avoid contact with skin or clothing. It is also harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Always follow Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment, including chemical-resistant gloves, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and protective footwear.

Timing & weather

• Avoid application during temperature inversions. Avoid application when wind speed is greater than 10 mph. Avoid application when wind is blowing toward sensitive areas.

Use restrictions 1

• Not for residential use. Do not plant another crop within 30 days after treatment. Do not contaminate water used for irrigation or domestic purposes. Do not exceed the rate per acre recommended on the label.
