Captan Gold 80WDG is a water-dispersible granule fungicide used for the control of various fungal diseases in fruit and vegetable crops, as well as for controlling certain seed and transplant diseases. The active ingredient is Captan (N-Trichloromethylthio-4-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboximide) at 80% by weight. It is used on a wide variety of crops including strawberries, almonds, apples, apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and more. Application methods include foliar sprays and soil treatments (such as root dips for greenhouse bench treatments). When handling, users must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, shoes plus socks, protective eyewear, and chemical-resistant gloves. If using in aerial applications, specific drift management and nozzle selection are critical to prevent off-target movement. This product is toxic to fish and should not be applied near water or in areas where surface water is present. Always follow Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements for entry intervals and decontamination.
