Captan 4L is a fungicide containing 38.5% Captan as the active ingredient. It is used for the control of various fungal diseases in a wide range of fruit and vegetable crops, including stone fruits, berries, grapes, cherries, and more. It works by controlling diseases such as brown rot, blossom blight, leaf spot, and various scabs. The product can be applied via aerial spraying or ground application. When using aerial applications, ensure the boom length does not exceed 75% of the wing span or 60% of the rotor blade diameter. For ground applications, it can be used with a nozzle height of no more than 4 feet above the crop canopy. Users must follow strict safety protocols, including wearing protective gloves, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and chemical-resistant footwear. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and do not inhale spray mist. The label includes specific instructions for mixing and application rates based on the target crop and disease.
