Bravo Ultrex is a fungicide used to control various plant diseases in a wide range of crops, including asparagus, beans, blueberries, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, celery, and corn. The active ingredient is chlorothalonil at a concentration of 82.5%. It is formulated as a water-dispersible granule (WG) and can be applied via spray or through irrigation systems. For asparagus, it controls rust, purple spot, and cercospora leaf blotch. For beans, it targets rust, anthracnose, downy mildew, cercospora leaf blotch, and ascochyta blight. Application rates vary significantly by crop and target disease, ranging from 1.25 to 18 lbs of product per acre. When using irrigation systems, ensure proper injection equipment and check valves are in place to prevent backflow. Users must follow Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements, including a restricted-entry interval (REI) of 12 hours. Personal protective equipment (PPE) includes chemical-resistant gloves, protective eyewear, and chemical-resistant headgear.
