Boundary 6.5 EC is a selective herbicide used for the control of certain grasses and broadleaf weeds. It contains two active ingredients: S-metolachlor (58.2% by weight) and metribuzin (13.8% by weight). This product is formulated for use on potatoes, soybeans, and sugarcane. It can be applied as a preplant, preplant incorporated, preemergence, or postemergence herbicide, depending on the specific crop and weed target. For sugarcane, it is restricted to use in LA, FL, and TX. The product is an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) and contains petroleum distillates, which may cause aspiration if swallowed. When handling, technicians must wear protective eyewear, chemical-resistant coveralls (short-sleeved shirt and short pants), chemical-resistant footwear, and chemical-resistant gloves (either barrier laminate, butyl rubber ≥ 14 mils, nitrile rubber ≥ 14 mils, or Viton™ ≥ 14 mils). A chemical-resistant headgear is also required for overhead exposure.
