Armezon is a postemergence herbicide used for weed control in various crops, including all types of field corn, popcorn, sweet corn, and sugarcane, as well as between crop applications. The active ingredient is topramezone at a concentration of 29.7%. It is designed to control a wide range of broadleaf weeds and certain grass weeds. For optimal results, it should be applied when weeds are actively growing. The label provides specific application rates based on the target weed and crop type, typically ranging from 0.5 fl oz/A to 2.0 fl oz/A. Users should note that Armezon may require the addition of an adjuvant and nitrogen fertilizer for optimum weed control. When applying, it is important to manage spray drift, especially in aerial applications, and to avoid application during temperature inversions or high wind speeds. Always follow specific mixing instructions, such as triple rinsing empty containers, and adhere to the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, and shoe covers.
