Antik EC is a contact herbicide containing 22.3% carfentrazone-ethyl. It is designed for agricultural or commercial use to control various weeds by causing desiccation. The product works by being absorbed through the foliage of target plants. It is intended for use on specified labeled crops, including various vegetables, fruits, grasses, and grains. Application methods include aerial, ground boom, broadcast boom, and directed sprays. When using this product, technicians must be careful to avoid drift, especially near water bodies or sensitive non-target plants, as it is toxic to aquatic organisms. For ground applications, ensure the nozzle height is appropriate to minimize drift. For aerial applications, maintain specific heights and monitor weather conditions like wind and temperature inversions. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, pants, chemical-resistant gloves, and shoes plus socks. Always follow manufacturer instructions for cleaning and maintaining application equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
