Agri-Mycin 50 is a fungicidal product containing 65.8% Streptomycin Sulfate (equivalent to 50% streptomycin base). It is used to control various bacterial diseases in a variety of crops, including row crops (potatoes, tobacco), tree crops (apples, pears), vegetable crops (coleys, peppers, tomatoes), and ornamental plants and shrubs. It is effective against diseases such as soft rot, blackleg, wildfire, blue mold, fine blight, bacterial leaf spot, and bacterial wilt. Application methods vary by crop, often involving spraying during specific growth stages like the 2-leaf stage or during bloom. Users must follow specific dilution rates based on the desired concentration (50 to 200 ppm) and the volume of water used. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves made of waterproof material, shoes plus socks, a protective eyewear, and a NIOSH-approved respirator with N, R, or P filter if mists are present. The product has a restricted-entry interval (REI) of 12 hours. Always follow all label directions for mixing, application, and disposal to ensure safety and efficacy.
