Actara is an insecticide containing 25.0% Thiamethoxam, classified under Group 4A. It is designed for the control of certain insect pests that infest listed crops. The product is available as a water-dispersible granule. It works through contact and ingestion, making it effective against sucking and chewing insects. Users must be extremely cautious regarding pollinators; this product can kill bees and other insect pollinators if applied while they are foraging or if it drifts onto blooming crops/weeds. Application restrictions apply to protect pollinators, including timing and site-specific instructions.
