Guarda is a botanical fungicide containing 3% thyme oil as the active ingredient. It is designed to control a wide variety of fungal diseases including powdery mildew, various blights, rots, and leaf spots across diverse crops such as vegetables (artichoke, asparagus, bulb vegetables, etc.), cereals, citrus, and fruits. It can be applied via several methods: foliar spray (ground or aerial), chemigation (through drip or sprinkler irrigation systems), soil drench, in-furrow application, and plant dip. For foliar applications, it is typically applied at a rate of 1 gallon per 29-159 gallons of water (0.625% to 3.3% v/v dilution) to ensure coverage to the point of runoff. When using chemigation, users must follow specific instructions for different irrigation types to prevent system damage. The product can be mixed with certain other registered fungicides to improve control. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, waterproof gloves, and shoes plus socks.
