IMPACT SWT™ Herbicide is a systemic herbicide used for the selective control or suppression of emerged broadleaf and grass weeds. It is designed for use in sweet corn (grown for ear, kernel, or seed), sugarcane, and between crops. The active ingredient is Topramezone at 29.7%. This product works by inhibiting carothenoid biosynthesis (HPPD inhibitor, Group 27). For optimal results, apply to actively growing weeds before they exceed maximum size limits. It can be tank-mixed with other herbicides to broaden spectrum control, but users must follow the most restrictive directions of all products in the mixture. When applying, ensure adequate spray coverage and use appropriate droplet sizes to minimize drift. Note that crops under environmental stress (extreme cold or heat) may show temporary injury such as minor twisting or leaf bleaching. Always follow Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, and protective footwear.
