Impact CORE is an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) herbicide designed for weed control in field corn, field corn grown for seed, and popcorn. It contains two active ingredients: Acetochlor (77.78%) and Topramezone (0.78%). This product provides systemic control or partial control of many emerged broadleaf weeds and grasses, offering both postemergence control and residual weed control. It can be tank-mixed with other herbicides to broaden its spectrum. When applying, users must follow specific PPE requirements, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (Barrier Laminate or Butyl Rubber), chemical-resistant footwear, protective eyewear, and chemical-resistant headgear/aprons during cleaning. It is important to note that Topramezone can leach into soil and potentially contaminate groundwater, especially in permeable soils with shallow water tables. Acetochlor also has properties associated with groundwater contamination. Always follow the specific directions for use and resistance management strategies provided on the label.
