for House Fly
Adults are dull gray and small, roughly 6 to 7 mm, or about one-sixth to one-quarter inch. The best field mark sits on the thorax, the middle body segment, which carries four dark lengthwise stripes; the adult also has large red eyes and one pair of clear wings.
