Built by Pest Control People, for Pest Control People

pestcontroller.org is an independent pest control directory that puts locally-owned businesses first — not the national franchises, not the publicly traded giants.

Our Mission: Support Local, Independent Pest Control Companies

We believe your neighborhood pest control company — the one that actually shows up, knows your area, and remembers your name — deserves to be found. This directory is built specifically to help independent, locally-owned businesses compete online against the big-box chains that dominate search results.

What we don't show (and why)

To keep this directory focused on locally-owned businesses, we do not surface the following in our listings:

  • Publicly traded pest control franchises (Terminix, Orkin, Rollins subsidiaries, Rentokil, etc.)
  • National chains with out-of-state headquarters that aren't truly local
  • Companies whose registered addresses are outside the state of their listing
  • Foreign-headquartered pest control corporations

These companies have multi-million-dollar marketing budgets. They don't need our help. Your local operator does.

About the Founder

pestcontroller.org was built by Dave Luper — a pest control industry veteran and technology entrepreneur.

Dave Luper

Founder, pestcontroller.org · Pest Control Industry Veteran

Dave grew up in the pest control business. His parents owned a pest control company in the Fort Worth, Texas area, and he learned the trade from the ground up. Over the years he went on to start and run three pest control companies of his own, spanning Texas and beyond.

Along the way, Dave built a parallel career in technology — earning a computer science degree and spending years in IT before combining both worlds. He became one of the early adopters of SEO and AI tools for local service businesses, using those skills to grow his own companies before building software to help others do the same.

pestcontroller.org is the result of that career: a directory and platform built specifically for the independent pest control operator — not the franchise, not the publicly traded chain, but the owner-operator who shows up every day with a truck and a spray rig.

What's in the Directory

Our database pulls from public records across dozens of states — Secretary of State business registrations, state Department of Agriculture pest license databases, and other public sources. We verify license numbers, display certification categories, and link applicator records where available.

This is public information, organized and presented in a way that helps customers find qualified, licensed pest control professionals in their area.

If you own a pest control company and want to claim or enhance your listing, you can do that for free.
