Natrix is an aquatic molluscicide used to control invasive or exotic mollusks, including zebra mussels, quagga mussels, Asian clams, and island clams. It also controls nuisance mollusks like snails that act as vectors for parasites. The active ingredient is Copper Ethanolamine Complex, which provides metallic copper. It is designed for use in various aquatic settings such as golf course ponds, ornamental ponds, fish ponds, irrigation and fire ponds, aquaculture sites, fresh water lakes, potable water reservoirs, and crop/non-crop irrigation and drainage systems. The product can be applied diluted or undiluted depending on the site and target. Handling requires specific PPE, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, shoe plus socks, chemical-resistant gloves (Barrier Laminate, Butyl Rubber, Nitrile Rubber, Neoprene, Polyethylene, or Polyvinyl chloride), and protective eyewear. Users must be cautious when applying near desirable plants, crops, or aquaculture containing fish/shrimp, as copper can be toxic to these. When using in chemigation systems, specific equipment requirements and safety protocols must be followed to prevent contamination of public water supplies.
