Dual Magnum Herbicide is a Group 15 herbicide containing 83.7% S-metolachlor. It is used for weed control in a wide variety of crops, including corn, cotton, grasses grown for seed, horseradish, legume vegetables, peanuts, potatoes, pumpkin, rhubarb, safflowers, sorghum, soybean, sugar beets, sugarcane, sunflowers, and tomatoes. The herbicide is absorbed by the shoots and roots of emerging weeds, which inhibits shoot and root tissue growth. It can be applied via band application, through irrigation systems (chemigation), or as a dry bulk granular fertilizer. Note that use in certain counties in New York (Nassau and Suffolk) is prohibited. Always follow specific crop-related instructions regarding timing (preplant, preemergence, or postemergence) and application methods to ensure efficacy and minimize environmental impact.
