PRELUDE is a termiticide/insecticide containing 25.6% Permethrin. It is designed for the control of termites through various application methods including subterranean termite treatment, horizontal barriers, vertical barriers, and post-construction treatments. It can be used for pre-construction soil treatment, establishing barriers around foundations, and treating crawl spaces or slab-on-ground structures. The product is applied as an emulsion via methods such as subslab injection, trenching, rodding, or low-pressure spray. Key handling notes include avoiding application near aquatic environments due to extreme toxicity to fish and invertebrates, and ensuring the treated soil is covered with a waterproof material if rain is predicted before concrete is poured. Applicators must use specific PPE, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (butyl rubber or Viton), and protective eyewear. When treating adjacent to existing structures, the applicator must ensure the area is treated to prevent leaks or exposure to occupants.
