Storen is a herbicide designed for the control of annual grass and broadleaf weeds in field corn, seed corn, sweet corn, and yellow popcorn. It features a combination of four active ingredients: S-metolachlor (29.30%), mesotrione (3.34%), pyroxasulfone (1.63%), and bicyclopyrone (0.81%). This product can be used in preemergence and/or postemergence applications depending on the specific weed management strategy and crop stage. It is formulated to be applied via ground application only. Technicians should note that the product's effectiveness can be influenced by soil organic matter and soil type, as the rate is based on percent soil organic matter. Handling requires specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective eyewear, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (made of barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile, neoprene, or polyvinyl chloride), and shoes plus socks. Users must also follow specific engineering controls and safety recommendations to prevent environmental contamination, particularly regarding groundwater and surface water. The label includes strict instructions for mixing, tank-mix compatibility, and spray drift management to protect non-target organisms and avoid off-target movement.
