Peak is a selective herbicide containing 57.0% Prosulfuron. It is formulated as a water-dispersible granule designed for weed control in various small grain crops, including barley, field corn, sorghum, oats, proso millet, rye, triticale, wheat, and following small grain harvest. The product is applied postemergence to control broadleaf weeds. When using this product, handlers must wear specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and waterproof gloves made of barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile, neoprene, natural rubber, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), or Viton (all ≥ 14 mils), as well as shoes plus socks. It is important to avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing, and to avoid breathing spray mist. This product has a high potential for leaching into groundwater and can impact surface water quality through runoff; users should avoid application near water or in areas with shallow groundwater. A restricted-entry interval (REI) of 12 hours applies to treated areas.
