Golden Harvest Preferred Seed Treatment is an engineered fungicide-insecticide premix designed for seed treatment to protect against early-season damage. It is used on soybean crops to control various listed insects, seed-borne diseases, and seedling diseases. The product contains four active ingredients: Thiamethoxam (insecticide, Group 4A), Mefenoxam (fungicide, Group 4), Fludioxonil (fungicide, Group 12), and Picarbutrazox (fungicide, Group U17). It is applied as a water-based slurry directly to the seed. Technicians should note that this product is highly toxic to aquatic organisms and must be handled to prevent runoff into waterways. It also carries pollinator precautions due to the presence of Thiamethoxam. When handling, use appropriate PPE including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile, neoprene, polyvinyl chloride, or Viton), and closed-toe shoes. Always re-circulate the product thoroughly before use and follow specific tank-mix compatibility instructions to prevent settling or incompatibility.
