Transport GHP is an insecticide used for outdoor applications. It controls ants, fire ant mounds, carpenter ants, termites, cockroaches, scorpions, and ground-nesting bees (including bumble bees, sweat bees, mining bees, digger or leafcutting bees, and digger or threadwaisted wasps). Application methods include low-volume or high-volume sprays on surfaces, injecting or foaming into cavities, sprinkling mounds, trenching around underground services, and drenches for individual nests.
| Target pest | Indoor / Outdoor | Where on site | Rate | Dilution | Infestation level | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ants | Outdoor | non-porous surfaces | 0.11% dilution per 1,000 square feet | 0.11% | low volume applications; areas protected from rainfall and spray from sprinklers | |
| ants | Outdoor | porous surfaces and vegetation | 0.11% dilution per 1,000 square feet | 0.11% | high volume applications | |
| Ant and Fire Ant Mounds | Outdoor | mound area | 1-2 gallons per mound area | 0.11% | sprinkling the mound until it is wet and treat 3-feet out around the mound. Use the higher volume for mounds larger than 12". For best results, apply in cool weather, such as in early morning or late evening hours, but not in the heat of the day. | |
| Carpenter Ants | Outdoor | trees, utility poles, fencing, and similar structural members | 0.11% | Drill to locate the interior infested cavity and inject or foam the 0.11% dilution (see Dilution Chart) into the cavity using a sufficient volume and an appropriate treatment tool with a splash guard. | ||
| Ground-nesting bees (including Bumble Bees, Sweat Bees, Mining Bees, Digger or Leafcutting Bees, Digger or Threadwaisted Wasps) | Outdoor | individual in-ground nest dwellers | 0.3 ounces per 1,000 square feet | Individual nest drenches should be applied by using 0.3 ounces of Transport GHP Insecticide per 1,000 square feet in and around each cavity. Cover the entrance hole with soil after application. For preventative treatment, broadcast Transport GHP Insecticide in enough finished volume of water to penetrate the groundcover so that 0.3 ounces are applied per 1,000 Square Feet. Treatment of tunnels and the surrounding area at dusk or after dark improves product contact. | ||
| Carpenter ants | Outdoor | wood piles and stored lumber | one gallon per 8 square feet | 0.11% | apply as a spot treatment to the soil beneath where the firewood or lumber will be stacked. Treated wood can be burned as firewood or used as lumber one month after treatment. | |
| Termites and Ants | Outdoor | Underground Services (wires, cables, utility lines, pipes, conduits, etc.) | 2 gallons per 10 linear feet | 0.11% | Apply 2 gallons of 0.11% dilution (see Dilution Chart) per 10 linear feet to the bottom of the trench and allow liquid to soak into the soil. Lay services on the treated soil and cover with approximately 2 inches of fill soil. Apply another 2 gallons per 10 linear feet over the soil surface to complete the treatment barrier. In wide trenches, only treat the soil in the area near the services. Where soil will not accept the above-labeled volume, 1 gallon of 0.11% dilution of Transport GHP Insecticide may be used per 10 linear feet of trench both to the bottom of the trench and over the soil on top of the services. The soil where each service protrudes from the ground may be treated by trenching/rodding of no more than 1 to 2 gallons of 0.11% dilution into the soil. | |
| Posts, Poles and Other Constructions | Outdoor | wooden constructions such as signs, fences and landscape ornamentation | 1 gallon per foot of depth | 0.11% | For poles and posts less than six inches in diameter, use 1 gallon of 0.11% dilution (see Dilution Chart) per foot of depth. For larger poles, use 1.5 gallons of 0.11% dilution per foot of depth. Apply to a depth of 6 inches below the bottom of the wood. For larger constructions, use 4 gallons per 10 linear feet per foot of depth. | |
| Ants, Cockroaches and Scorpions | Outdoor | Under Slabs | 1 gallon per 10 square feet or 2 gallons per 10 linear feet | 0.11% | drilling and injecting or horizontal rodding and then injecting. | |
| ants, fleas, roaches, scorpions, or other arthropods | Both | crawlspace and/or voids | 0.11% |
