Application rates & sites 22

Target pestIndoor / OutdoorWhere on site RateDilutionInfestation levelNotes
Annual Bluegrass Weevil Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.15 Fl oz Applications should be timed to control adult weevils with their earliest spring activity. This generally begins when Forsythia is in full bloom and concludes when flowering dogwood (Cornus florida) is in full bloom.
Armyworms Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz Delay watering or mowing for 24 hours after application to ensure optimum control of armyworms, cutworms and sod webworms.
Billbugs Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Crane Flies Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz Treatments can be made to control early to mid-season larvae (approximately August - February) as they feed on plant crowns. Treatments made to late-season larvae (approximately March, April) may only provide suppression.
Crickets Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Cutworms Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz Delay watering or mowing for 24 hours after application to ensure optimum control of armyworms, cutworms and sod webworms.
Earwigs Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Fall Webworms Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Fleas (adults, larvae) Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Grasshoppers Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Mealybugs Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Mites Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Sod Webworms Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz Delay watering or mowing for 24 hours after application to ensure optimum control of armyworms, cutworms and sod webworms.
Spittlebugs Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Ants Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Chinch Bugs Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Mole Crickets Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz For control of overwintered mole crickets apply the lower rate in early spring. For the control of adult Mole Crickets in late-Summer or early Fall, apply the higher rate. To enhance control a non-ionic surfactant or a silicone based surfactant (0.25% v/v) may be applied as a tank-mix for the control of late summer or fall adult mole crickets.
Imported Fire Ants Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz This application rate is for foraging ants. See the Pest Control on Outside Surfaces and Around Buildings section for mound con[trol]. Individual nest drenches should be applied by using 0.07 fl oz per gallon of water in and around each cavity. Cover the entrance hole with soil after application.
Japanese Beetles (adult) Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Stink bugs Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Ticks Outdoor lawn 0.07-0.30 Fl oz
Ornamentals and Trees Both foliar applications 0.26-1.28 fluid ounces Dilute 0.26 to 1.28 fluid ounces of BASELINE insecticide per 10 gallons of water and apply at the rate of 10 gallons per 4,356 square feet. One gallon of finish spray will treat 435 square feet. If a higher volume application is required for adequate coverage of the plant canopy, BASELINE insecticide may be diluted in large volumes of water as long as the maximum label rate (1.28 fluid ounces per 4,356 square feet) is not exceeded.

ForWhereAmountPerFinished strengthNotes
mole crickets (sub-surface pests) Outdoor 0.25% v/v less than 2 gallons/1,000 sq ft non-ionic or silicone based surfactant recommended for low water volume usage
mole crickets (sub-surface pests) Outdoor 0.25% v/v sufficient water non-ionic or silicone based surfactant To maximize efficacy against sub-surface pests, BASELINE insecticide should be applied with a non-ionic or silicone based surfactant (0.25% v/v) in sufficient water to ensure good penetration of spray to soil-thatch matrix.
mole crickets (late summer or fall adult) Outdoor 0.25% v/v non-ionic surfactant or a silicone based surfactant may be applied as a tank-mix
