Astro is an insecticide used to control various pests, including whiteflies, Zimmerman pine moths, clearwing moth borers, bark beetles, coleopteran borers, Nantucket pine tip moths, coneworms, seed bugs, chinchbugs, pill bugs, sod webworms, navel orangeworms, peach twig borers, green fruitworms, oblique banded leafrollers, plum curculio, redbanded leafrollers, rosy apple aphids, spotted tentiform leafminers, tarnished plant bugs, and white apple leafhoppers. It is applied outdoors to ornamental trees, lawns, and fruit and nut trees around residential sites. Application methods include broadcasting to cover foliage or applying to the lower branches and trunks to ensure thorough bark coverage. For specific fruit and nut trees, it is applied in a water mixture.
