Seresto is a topical collar designed for dogs to control fleas and ticks. It utilizes two active ingredients: Flumethrin (1.67%) and Imidacloprid (10.0%). The product works by providing continuous protection against adult fleas, flea larvae, and various tick species, including the deer tick (Ixodes scapularis) and American dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis). The collar is applied by placing it around the dog's neck, ensuring it is snug but not tight. It is designed to provide up to 8 months of protection when used as directed. The active ingredients are released continuously from the collar to the dog's skin. Handling notes include ensuring the collar is properly fitted and checking periodically for the 8-month protection period. Do not use on cats. The product contains small parts and should be kept out of reach of children.
