Kocide 50DF is a copper-based fungicide (Group M01) used to control various fungal diseases. The active ingredient is Copper Hydroxide, which provides 50.0% metallic copper by weight. It is suitable for use on listed citrus, vegetables, tree crops, small fruits, vines, field crops, greenhouses, listed turf, and ornamentals. The product can be applied via aerial, ground, or dilute/concentrate spray methods. When applying, technicians must be aware of spray drift risks, especially near water or sensitive environments, as copper is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. For greenhouse use, the Restricted-Entry Interval (REI) may be reduced from 48 to 24 hours if specific decontamination and worker training requirements are met. Handling requires strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, shoes/socks, chemical-resistant gloves (e.g., Nitrile, Neoprene, or Viton), and protective eyewear. Users must also follow Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements for agricultural use.
