Status is a broad-spectrum postemergence herbicide designed for use in field corn grown for grain, seed, or silage, as well as popcorn. It features two active ingredients: dicamba (sodium salt of dicamba) at 17.1% and diflufenzypyr (sodium salt of diflufenzypyr) at 44.0%. This product is specifically formulated to be used alone or in combination with glyphosate. It controls a wide variety of annual broadleaf weeds and can suppress certain perennial broadleaf weeds. When applied, it is absorbed by the leaves, roots, and shoots of target weeds. Users should note that the product is sensitive to weather; avoid application during temperature inversions or when wind speeds exceed 15 mph. For safety, handlers must wear protective eyewear, chemical-resistant gloves, and long-sleeved shirts/long pants. A restricted-entry interval (REI) of 24 hours applies after application. Always follow specific instructions for mixing, especially when using nitrogen sources or adjuvants, and ensure proper containment to prevent groundwater contamination.
