Simazine 4L is a selective herbicide containing 42.1% Simazine as an active ingredient. It is designed for pre-emergence control of a wide variety of annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses in agricultural and ornamental crops. Common target weeds include various grasses (like bermudagrass and crabgrass) and broadleaf species such as morning glory, pigweed, and various types of clover and purslane. It is primarily used in outdoor settings, including turfgrass, ornamental landscapes, and specific agricultural crops like citrus, grapes, and various vegetables. Application methods include soil application via sprayers, irrigation systems, or direct application to soil. For best results, it should be applied to moist soil. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, and protective footwear. Users should avoid contact with skin and eyes, and prevent environmental contamination of water sources, as the product can leach into groundwater.
