Outlook is a selective residual herbicide containing the active ingredient dimethenamid-P (63.9%). It is designed for use in certain agricultural crops, including corn, cotton, sugar beet, soybean, and more, to control annual broadleaf weeds and certain grasses. It works by providing residual control through soil incorporation or surface application. The product can be applied as a preplant incorporated, preplant surface, preemergence, early postemergence, or layby herbicide. When using Outlook, it is critical to follow specific soil texture and organic matter guidelines to determine the correct application rate. Users must adhere to Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements, including specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as long-sleeved shirts, long pants, waterproof gloves, shoes plus socks, and protective eyewear. Avoid application during temperature inversions to prevent spray drift. Handle with care to prevent contamination of water, food, or non-target areas. If accidental exposure occurs, follow the specific first aid instructions provided on the label, such as rinsing eyes or skin with water for 15 to 20 minutes.
