MaxCel is a plant growth regulator containing 1.9% 6-benzyladenine. It is used to manage growth in various fruit crops, including apples, pears, pistachios, and non-bearing sweet cherries. The product is primarily used for fruit thinning, enhancing fruit size, and promoting branch structure through branching applications. It can be applied as a foliar spray or applied directly into tree notches for specific growth management. When used as a spray, it is diluted with water to specific ppm concentrations depending on the target effect. For orchard applications, users should be aware of temperature restrictions, as best results are achieved between 65°F and 75°F. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and protective eyewear. Users must avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing and should wash thoroughly after handling. The product should be stored in a cool, dry place.
