Lumax EZ Herbicide is a restricted-use pesticide designed for the control of annual grass and broadleaf weeds in field corn, field production seed corn, field silage corn, sweet corn, yellow popcorn, grain sorghum, and sugarcane. It contains three active ingredients: S-metolachlor (27.10%), atrazine (8.50%), and mesotrione (2.71%) by weight. This product can be used for both preemergence and postemergence applications. Because it is a restricted-use pesticide, it must only be used by certified applicators or persons under their direct supervision. Key handling notes include avoiding application near surface water due to toxicity to aquatic invertebrates and potential groundwater contamination. Users must follow specific buffer zone requirements for tile-outleted fields and avoid application via airblast or certain irrigation systems.
