Hinder is a deer and rabbit repellent designed to protect plants by forming a mild odor barrier that is non-toxic to humans. The active ingredient is Ammonium Soaps of Higher Fatty Acids (13.8%). It is used to control browsing from white-tailed deer, black-tailed or mule deer, cottontail rabbits, and black-tail jack rabbits. This product is suitable for use on apples, pears, soybeans, peanuts, carrots, nursery stock, ornamental trees, shrubs, and flowers. It can be applied via hand-held sprayers, conventional spraying equipment, or aircraft (specifically for soybeans, peanuts, and carrots). For most applications, the product should be reapplied every 10-14 days to maintain effectiveness, and reapplied after heavy rains. Note that the product should not be applied when rain is expected within 24 hours. When using in cold weather, a temperature of at least 40°F for four hours is required for proper drying. Users should avoid spraying in windy conditions to prevent drift and should not use this product through irrigation systems. It is chemically incompatible with strongly ionized metallic salts such as zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, and iron sulfates.
