Devrinol 2-XT is a selective herbicide containing 22% Napropamide. It is designed for use on specific crops including certain nuts (almonds, filberts, pecans), small fruits (blueberries, strawberries, etc.), vegetables, tobacco, and various turfgrasses. It is used to control a wide range of annual grasses (such as crabgrass, foxtails, and nut sedges) and annual broadleaf weeds (such as common purslane and lambsquarters). The product can be applied as a preplant incorporated application, a preemergence application, or via irrigation systems. For best results, it should be applied to a weed-free soil surface and incorporated to a depth of 1 to 2 inches. When using irrigation, ensure the herbicide is incorporated to a depth of 2 to 4 inches. Users must follow strict timing restrictions, such as not applying during harvest or when fruit is on the plant. Handling requires specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves, shoes plus socks, and protective eyewear.
