Assure II is a systemic herbicide used for the control of various annual and perennial grasses. The active ingredient is Quizalofop-p-ethyl (10.3% by weight), which works by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) in grasses. It is designed for use on various crops, including corn, soybeans, wheat, and more, as well as non-crop areas like fence rows and roadsides. The product can be applied as a solo application or tank-mixed with broadleaf herbicides, though specific precautions apply. For spot treatments of small areas, a 0.375% v/v solution is required using either a crop oil concentrate or a nonionic surfactant. Users should be aware that the product contains petroleum distillates; avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing, and do not induce vomiting if swallowed.
