It can be used for surface spray, injection into irrigation systems, or as a soak. Handling requires significant care: it is corrosive and can cause eye and skin irritation. Technicians must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant footwear, gloves, and eye/face protection (goggles or face shields). If used in a spray, a NIOSH-approved respirator with organic vapor cartridges and a particulate filter is required.
